How long does it take to set the club up?

About twenty minutes for the first team. You create the club, add the roster (name, number, position) and invite the players by email — each one receives a link that automatically ties them to their profile. You can also start from the PDF of an FFBB (French federation) score sheet: SQVAD extracts the players from it. Further teams are created in a few clicks from the same account.

Do all the coaches need to be comfortable with computers?

No. A game is tracked with large buttons designed for the scorer’s table, on a phone or a tablet. A coach who uses nothing else can simply enter the score and the points — the advanced statistics compute themselves from what has been entered. Every screen has a built-in guided tour the first time you open it.

Who owns the club’s data?

Accepted Answer

The club, unambiguously. You can export the statistics of any game as a CSV at any time, and delete your account and your data from the app settings. SQVAD does not exploit, resell or share any club data with a third party.

What happens if the coach who runs the app leaves the club?

Accepted Answer

Nothing is lost. The data belongs to the club, not to the coach’s account: it stays in the club’s space. An administrator can remove a staff member and promote another. That is why we recommend that a club official be an administrator alongside the head coach.

Question 5

We have several teams (Seniors, U18, U15…). How does that work?

Accepted Answer

Each team has its own space: separate roster, games, training and statistics. The same account can hold a different role in each team — coach of the U15s and player in the Seniors, for example. You switch with a selector at the top of the screen, without logging in again.

What about underage players?

Accepted Answer

A player only joins the club on an invitation validated by the staff — there is no open sign-up and no user search. For minors, we recommend inviting a parent’s email address, so the parent keeps control of the account. No content is public by default: only the live score can be shared, if the coach turns it on.

Question 7

Does SQVAD replace the FFBB e-Marque?

No, and that is not its purpose. The e-Marque remains the official score sheet of the game in France. SQVAD is the staff’s working tool: it imports the FFBB sheet to prepare call-ups and player photos, pulls in the league standings, then goes much further than the sheet on analysis, load monitoring and club life.

Can we try it before committing?

Yes. A full demo is available without creating an account: a fictional club filled with an entire season of data, with every module unlocked. You can click anywhere without breaking anything.

Who enters the statistics during the game?

Accepted Answer

Rarely the coach — it is usually a parent, an injured player or a staff member at the table. The live interface was designed for that: large buttons, player selection in one gesture, instant undo if you make a mistake. You do not need someone experienced to get started.

What happens if the gym has no network?

Accepted Answer

Entry carries on as normal. SQVAD works offline: everything is saved on the device and syncs automatically as soon as the connection returns. It is the most common situation in a gym, and it is handled by default — there is nothing to turn on.

I made a mistake while entering — can it be fixed?

Yes, at any time. Every action can be corrected or deleted during the game through the play-by-play. After the game, the box score remains editable, and film mode lets you go through the whole game again from the video to fill in what was missed live.

Do we have to enter everything for the stats to be worthwhile?

Accepted Answer

No, and this matters: SQVAD adapts to your level of detail. If you only enter points, you already get averages, trends and internal rankings. If you add shots and rebounds, you unlock percentages, shot zones and the Four Factors. Nothing breaks if a piece of data is missing — the metric concerned simply shows a dash.

What is film mode actually for?

To get what live entry cannot capture: the opposing team’s statistics and the possession count. With those two elements, SQVAD computes your defensive rating, your net rating and your rebound percentages. You can create a game entirely from the video, or enrich afterwards a game already tracked live.

Do my players see everything I enter?

Accepted Answer

No, you stay in control. Coach notes are private until you explicitly share them. You can also hide certain tabs from players in the settings — useful for load data or injuries, which some staffs prefer to keep at staff level.

Is load monitoring only for professional clubs?

Accepted Answer

Not at all, and that is precisely the point. The principle is simple: after each session, the player rates their perceived effort from 1 to 10, in five seconds. SQVAD multiplies that rating by the duration and derives the load, the ACWR, monotony and strain — indicators validated by research to spot players whose load is rising too fast. The staff has nothing to calculate.

A player changes number between two seasons — does their history follow?

Yes. It is something we handled in depth: SQVAD identifies a player by their identity (licence or name), not by their jersey number. A player who goes from 17 to 12 keeps their whole history, their records and their career statistics.

What does a player see in the app?

Accepted Answer

Their own dashboard: their statistics, their ranking within the team in every category, their form over the last five games, their records and their badges. They also have access to the calendar, call-ups, team messaging and team statistics, depending on what the staff chooses to show.

Do the other players see my statistics?

Accepted Answer

Team statistics are shared within the club — it is a team sport, and internal rankings are part of the dynamic. Sensitive information, however, is not: answers to the wellness questionnaire and injury records are visible only to you and to the staff.

Is the wellness questionnaire mandatory?

No, it is up to the staff to set its policy. Technically, a player who does not answer simply appears as having no data for the day. The benefit is mostly for the player: tracking is only valuable if it is regular, since everyone is compared with their own average rather than an imposed threshold.

Is our injury data confidential?

It stays within the club and never leaves your team’s space. It is visible to the staff — who have to manage availability and return to play — and to the player concerned. No other club, and nobody at SQVAD, has access to it.

Can my family follow the games?

Yes, if the coach turns on live score sharing. A public link then shows the score and the play-by-play of the game, with no account and nothing to install. Sharing is off by default and only covers the score: individual data is never public.

How much does it cost today?

Accepted Answer

You start with a thirty-day trial, the whole app unlocked, video included, with no credit card. After that, three plans: Coach at €89 a year for one team, Performance at €199 a year if you work from film and track your players all year round, Club at €399 a year for three age groups. When the trial ends, the space becomes read-only: nothing is destroyed and nothing is charged without your consent.

How are teams counted?

A team is a group with its own roster and its own calendar: Senior men, U18, U15 girls… Coach and Performance cover one; Performance can take a second for €90 a year. The Club plan includes three, and each additional team costs €50 a year, with no cap. Staff and players are never billed per seat: as many accounts as you need.

What is the difference between Coach and Performance?

Coach covers the game and its preparation: live statistics, play-by-play, playbook, calendar, roster and training. Performance adds everything you work on over time: video analysis, lineups and On/Off, opponent scouting, load and injury monitoring, player access and the season report. If you work from film, it is Performance.

How many games can we analyse on video?

The Performance and Club plans both unlock video analysis with no limit on films, per season and per team. The Coach plan does not include video analysis.

Can we change plans during the season?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in both directions and at any time. Moving up to a higher plan takes effect immediately. If you move down to a lower plan, no data is deleted: the features concerned simply become unavailable until a possible change.

Is there a minimum commitment?

None. The monthly subscription can be cancelled whenever you like, from the settings, and stays active until the end of the period paid for. The yearly subscription works out at roughly two months free over the year.

Can we get an invoice in the name of the club?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Payment is by card through Stripe and the invoice is issued in the name you provide — that of the club or association, with its address and registration number if you wish. It is the most common case for clubs that go through their treasurer.

What happens to our data if we stop?

Accepted Answer

You can export your statistics as CSV before leaving. If you delete the club, the data is erased permanently. If you simply let the subscription lapse, the space becomes read-only — nothing is destroyed, and you get everything back if you return.

Which devices does SQVAD run on?

There is a native iPhone and iPad app, available on the App Store, and a native Android app, available on Google Play. On a computer, SQVAD runs directly in the browser at sqvad.fr/app, and can be installed on the home screen like an app. The features are the same, with the exception of push notifications, which are native on iOS.

Is our data secure?

It is hosted on Firebase (Google Cloud), encrypted in transit and at rest. Access rules are written server-side: technically, a club cannot read another club’s data, and a player cannot read data reserved for the staff. It is not a matter of trust — it is enforced on every request.

Can we get our data back?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every game exports to CSV, usable in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. If you need a full export of the club, write to us: we prepare it manually, free of charge.

How do I delete an account?

From the app: Settings, then Delete my account. Deletion is permanent and covers the profile, the photos and access to the club. You can also write to us and we will do it remotely.

We already have seasons of statistics elsewhere — can we import them?

Write to us with your files, whatever the format — spreadsheet, an export from another app, or even score sheets. We look at each case and handle the migration when it is feasible. The imported seasons then appear in your archives like any other.
